How do I know when to update the TrailIntel installation program on my computer? Do I need to download a new installation program every time I update?

Whenever you need to run a map update on your Garmin GPS, you simply reopen the same TrailIntel map installer program on your computer that you initially used for installation. The program automatically pulls the latest map file from TrailIntel to load to your device.

The only time you will need to download anything new from us is when we release new versions of the installer program itself. This would be for things like new features and expanded device support.

If we have an update available when you launch the program, you will get a pop-up alert letting you know there's an update, your current version, and the latest version available. Once you click "Yes", the program will automatically download to your computer.
